Hal Brown Park

We had the pleasure of working with artist Rachel Rodi to create a 36’ diameter labyrinth for Marin County’s Hal Brown Park located directly across the street from Marin General Hospital. The park offers beautiful views of Mount Tamalpais and a treasured hiking path along Creekside marsh and the new labyrinth that provides a location for peace, contemplation, and restorative healing for park goers along with patients, families and employees of the hospital. The labyrinth was designed by Rachel Rodi and is comprised of integrally colored quarried stone finish and Lithomosaics that feature materials such as flat cut pebbles, color body porcelain, and Smalti tiles from Mexico. The Lithomosaic design is based on patterns found in nature. The Lithomosaic itself took months to create by Rachel and her studio team and the central mosaic was created with the help of the local community.
